Cooper Tire Reviews
Excellent tire until you put some miles on them, after 6000kms. The construction is terrible they separated and went out of round, sidewall bulged on three of four tires. always had a flat spot that created a bucking bronco ride parked on pavement for 6 hours that didn't go away anytime soon while driving...EMBARRASSING! There are better tires for less expensive. This is the third set of Coopers I have been disappointed with...three strikes you are out! These were made in England, their other manufacturing facilities might have better luck (I would hope!)
Great tire for the price!
I put these tires on a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland this past October and I had 36,000 miles on the Jeep at the time of install and I have just over 4,000 miles logged on the tires. My front two tires are already cupping. I have had the ENTIRE Jeep suspension looked at thinking it was my shocks bushings, alignment, etc causing the issue. Not so. These are hard to balance and has been attempted four times. They have a low growl at around 30mph (i thought it was a bearing!!)and hum on the highway. I am not happy with this issue and hoping the tire dealer will take care of this issue along with continental and replace the two tires at full credit or close to it. Otherwise the tires do great in the snow :)
I bought 4 of these tries after doing some in-depth research and reading reviews on several sites. I've only had them on for about 2 months and driven a little over 2,000 miles on them, but I've experienced everything from dry to wet (and slushy) to heavy snow conditions here in upstate NY. The only thing I can't speak to is treadwear since I haven't run them long enough to gauge that yet. Otherwise, they've excelled in all weather situations and I couldn't be happier with the purchase. You won't be disappointed!
Best snow tires ever! I put these on my wife's 2013 Escape and I can confidently say that they are like nothing else! We had snow falling here last week, I was at work and on my home in the company truck (did not have Cooper tires) the roads slicked up quick and I was glad to get home safely. Shortly thereafter my wife arrived home, I asked her how the roads were? Her response? Not slippery at all. My wife doesn't drive in snow much but I do and I thought the roads were horrible. For her to say they weren't says a lot for these tires and I have to say great job Cooper! You've outdone yourselves this time! I've had weathermaster tires on my cars in the past and have always been pleased with their performance. I will always have Cooper weathermaster tires on my vehicles for winter driving. Thanks Cooper! Keep up the great work!
I put a studded set on my Silverado 3 years ago when my wife was pregnant. I only run them in the winter and rotate regularly. Colorado winters threw everything at them. I liked these so much that we put a set on my wife's new car.
I drive 45-50K a year in the Northeast in my front wheel drive Mercury Milan. I had Michelin X-Ice tires which were no better than the Coopers but cost more. I've tried Blizzaks, Goodyears, & BFG. The Coopers were better in deeper snow and similar on ice. Made in USA is important to me. I religiously check tire pressures and rotate tires. I like all things about this tire except they wore out faster than any other snow tire I've had before. They wore from the center which is a sign of under inflation But I know they were inflated to spec. I have a set of Cooper Discovery M/S on my 4WD SUV which are really good. The price was good but I will get one less season out of these.
Best snow tire I ever had.I live in Buffalo when we had the 8 foot snowstorm I was able to make it to work with almost no problems the only problem I had was that the roads were blocked by other cars that were stuck I would recommend them to anyone
These tires made a HUGE difference in the drivability of our vehicle in the winter. No more problems with slipping on ice!
I rarely had to engage four wheel drive this past winter. Very good tread design and durability. I will most likely purchase another set of these tires when needed.
These tires did not last 80,000 miles. I have about 50K on them and they need replced. They also wear horribly as I have a wicked road noise and yes, I regularly rotate the tires at 5k miles
Replaced original Bridestone tires because of poor traction--tires were probably 3/4 left -- but terrible traction- New coopers worked great-better ride and quieter-my wife couldn't believe the tires made such a difference especially when stopping
